Over the past 30 years, many in the Webster community have known me as “Mr. DiTullio” – an English teacher right here in Webster since 1996. During this time, I have encouraged every student to become an engaged citizen, to be aware of the world they live in, and to show compassion and concern for others.
Now, it is my turn to live this lesson. I’m running to represent Webster in the Monroe County Legislature because I believe in public service, and I believe that local government can improve the quality of our lives. I will advocate for Webster and our green spaces while also ensuring we support our young people. It is going to be hard work – but I am ready and eager to get to work for Webster.
I come from a working class family in a working class town. I moved to the Rochester area from my hometown of Massena, NY almost 30 years ago. After teaching at Gananda Schools and the Rochester City School District, I was hired for a full-time teaching position in the Webster Central School District in 1997. I moved to Webster in ‘99, and since then Webster has been my adopted hometown. My wife Gina is the principal of School #46 in the RCSD, my son Michael is getting ready for his second year at Finger Lake Community College, and my daughter Giuliana is entering her junior year at Thomas High School, where I teach English.
